Welcome to LodgePole Quilting! Feel free to browse around. If you are new here be sure to sign up for the newsletter. I just started writing a monthly newsletter so you don’t want to miss it. There is also a store for shopping. Be sure to check it out frequently as I will be adding new products often.
Now, did you know it was Monday already? I am trying to figure out what happened to the week-end! Of course I have been busy cleaning the house and doing more organizing in the sewing room. My husband is on his way home after having been on the road for over four weeks. I can hardly wait. Won’t he be surprised to see I even re-organized both deep freezers. Brrrr.

I had my fabric scraps and remnants just thrown in a couple of totes and a couple of 5 gallon pails. YIKES! It was a nightmare whenever I started another project, trying find coordinating fabric. Now it’s so much nicer. I put my large pieces of fabric (1 yard or more) neatly folded into the large totes and my scraps are sorted now by color groups.

I have been working on my hand applique/embroidery aspect of the Little Bit of Baltimore (Jacquelynne Steves). It’s coming along quite nicely. I like the texture of the embroidery on the applique. Here are a couple of pictures…
I also received my monthly Sew Sampler last week. I cannot wait to dive into it. I took a couple of pictures so you can see what comes in the kit. It’s always something different. This time I got a jelly roll, a cool ruler (BasicX), labels, pre-made quilt hanger pocket (3 yds) and more. Take a look! Each box is themed and the fabric is always great whether it’s fat quarters, charms, mini’s, or jelly rolls. You can sign up for your monthly box at Fatquarter Shop.
That’s about all I have for now. I did “transfer” one of my quilt designs that was on paper to my EQ8 (Electric Quilt 8) program. Can I say I love my EQ8? I really do. It’s always a learning experience every time I design in it. By the time I got the quilt pattern (Peaceful) into the program I wasn’t feeling very peaceful. But I have to say the end product came out perfect. Once I get this quilt made I will add the pattern to the store so you will be able to make your own “Peaceful” quilt.

This week is full of all kinds of appointments so I won’t be posting another blog until next week. So in the meantime continue to stay positive, join a monthly subscription and stay quilting!
Until next time – What are you working on?
