Monday Madness

Well, it’s almost the end of the evening after a long day of madness. My husband left early this morning, I got up later this morning, fed Monty dog, took a bath. THEN the fun began.

Monty dog started puking. At first it was just once. So I figured ok, he’s over whatever it was. We went to the post office. I come out of the post office, get into the Jeep and was hit by an overwhelming smell. I look in the back and Monty had puked all over the back of the Jeep. Poor puppy.

I get him home as quickly as possible, get him settled and start cleaning the Jeep. Gross! Then we go inside the house and he starts puking again. I get the house cleaned up and called the vet.

After the vet gave Monty a water pack under the skin, medicine for vomiting and an antibiotic, we went home. And I cleaned again. Monty laid down after eating a few little bites of his dinner.

So all of that means I did no quilting. Zip,zilch, zero. But the good news is Monty seems to be feeling better. I am so glad. About 8pm tonight he decided to eat his dinner. It took him a half hour eat it, but he finished it. I hate to see my little buddy sick.

Here is a prelude to the next blog. I got a neat little kit from Annie’s Creative Quilters Fabric Club. It’s a Valentine’s table runner.

I’ll have more on that tomorrow, providing Monty Dog is doing a lot better. But, doesn’t that runner look fun? I can’t wait to get started!

Speaking of table runners, I have redesigned my reversible tablecloth. It’s no longer round but an octagon. I am excited to get back to work on it.

I am also doing another Shades of Winter with a revamp. It’s called Shades of Winter II. This quilt will actually be for sale! Stay tuned for more information on Shades of Winter II and how you will be able to purchased this beautiful quilt for yourself or as a gift for some one.

It’s time for me to go to bed. After all of the madness of the day, I am ready to call it a day.

Thanks for sharing your time with me. Here’s hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Until next time – Is it Friday yet?

  1. Ah it was good to know you and hubby had time together 🙂 I figured he was home when you weren’t posting. Happy to hear that Monty is doing better. And I’m excited to see how the table runners look. Because that will be one of my projects. And I’m happy to say and or exited. That I will be purchasing a sewing machine next weekend!!!! Have a fabulous day sis 🙂
